Dear San Domenico Community,

One of the most important values that we teach our students is service – sharing what we have, helping those in need, taking care of each other. This is the time that we need to come together to support our neighbors. Throughout the Bay Area, people are losing jobs, families are being evicted from their houses, and long lines are forming outside of food pantries.

Each year we collect food for our Thanksgiving Food Drive.  Our donations provide thousands of meals for families right here in the Bay Area. This year the need is greater than ever before. The SF Marin Food Bank is reporting that over 60,000 of our neighbors are currently in need of food assistance, which is twice as many as last year.

So for the next three weeks our Lower, Middle, and Upper Schools will all be working together to serve our community. Please join us!

Sometimes miracles are not extraordinary things. They are ordinary things done with extraordinary love.

 It’s hard to believe that 1 in 5 neighbors in our community are facing hunger right now. The good news is that for every $1 that you give, the Food Bank can provide food for 2 meals to our neighbors in need.
