Friends and family: In my time at college, I’ve seen the effects of cancer drain the joy from the lives of my family and my closest friends. Almost losing my mother to this disease as a child, and losing a beloved relative in college, I’ve felt the fear it inspires and seen the pain it leaves in it’s wake. However terrible it is, even more powerful is our generation’s ability to fight back.
